I Hacked a Crypto Wallet and Recovered $10,000! My friend asked me if I could hack his crypto wallet and recover $10,000. He created the wallet 6 months ago and accidentally forgot his seed phrase! The wallet I was attempting to hack was not a Bitcoin wallet, it was a Cardano wallet. Cardano wallet have significantly increased security due to their address calculations. It appears that my friend had accidentally written down the same word twice in their seed phrase, which is critical information needed to perform the hack. In order to attempt the hack, I used a combination of brute force techniques as well as some clever address location strategies by identifying the location of my friend's NFTs on the blockchain.
